JOB TITLE - Lecturer (various disciplines)

Vacancy exist for lecturing positions in Education, Science & Technology, Health and Social Care, Professional & Vocational Studies, Management & Leadership, Information Technology, Accounting & Finance, Language & Communication.

DETAILS OF DUTIES
  • Planning teaching, including lectures, seminars/tutorials and learning materials
  • Use appropriate learning, teaching, support and assessment methods.
  • Select appropriate assessment instruments and criteria, assess the work and progress of students by reference to the criteria and provide constructive feedback to students.
  • Ensure that module design and delivery comply with quality standards and regulations of the College
  • Select appropriate assessment instruments and criteria to assess the work and progress of students. 
  • Conduct individual research or work on collaborative research projects.
  • To coordinate others (such as support staff or academic colleagues) to ensure student needs and expectations are met
  • Mentor colleagues with less experience and advise on personal development
  • Be responsible for administrative duties in areas such as admissions, timetabling, examinations, and assessment of progress and student attendance.
DETAILS OF SKILL, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION

Ideal candidate must be an Associate Professor/ PhD with a minimum of five years teaching and research experience in a HEI.

Applicants with Masters degree and at least five years of teaching and research showing preparedness to study for a PhD are also eligible to apply. 

Successful candidates will be required to hold teaching qualification (FHEA/HEA) in the United Kingdom

Other skills required include:

  • Experience in teaching, curriculum development and quality management and enhancement in a Higher Education environment.
